Terms of service

Last updated: 31 August 2026

These terms govern your use of SuzyQ, a Chrome extension published by Backyard Software LLC ("Backyard Software", "we", "us"). By subscribing to or using SuzyQ you agree to them. If you are agreeing on behalf of an organization, you confirm you are authorized to do so.

1. What you are buying

A subscription grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use SuzyQ for as long as the subscription is paid and current. You are licensed to use it, not sold a copy of it.

A subscription covers one person. You may install and use SuzyQ on the machines you personally work on. You may not share your subscription with other people, use one subscription to cover several agents, or resell or sublicense it. For more than one person, a team arrangement is the correct - and normally the cheaper - route.

You may not decompile, reverse engineer or attempt to derive the source of SuzyQ except where that restriction is unenforceable by law, and you may not remove or obscure any notice of ownership in it.

2. Your work stays yours

The scripts, cards, call scripts, saved values and settings you create in SuzyQ are yours. We claim no ownership of them and, because we operate no servers, we do not hold a copy of them (see the privacy policy).

You can export the whole of it at any time from Settings → Backup, whether or not you are a current subscriber. Nothing you build is locked to a live subscription.

3. Free trial, subscriptions and renewal

New users may use SuzyQ free for 30 days from the day we give you access. The trial is the complete product with no features withheld. No payment details are required and no charge is made when it ends - to continue you start a subscription deliberately.

SuzyQ is distributed privately rather than on public release. Access is granted to a named Google account and is personal to you: it may not be transferred, shared or used to install SuzyQ for anybody else. One trial per person. If you do not take up a subscription we may withdraw that access when the trial ends, and we may decline or end a trial that is being used to avoid paying.

  • After any trial, SuzyQ is $40 per month, or $400 per year paid in advance. Prices are in US dollars and exclude any taxes that may apply where you are.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period, at the price then published, until cancelled.
  • We may change prices. An existing subscriber will be told at least 30 days before a price change takes effect on their renewal, and can cancel before it does.
  • A team or organization licence may be invoiced on separately agreed terms, which take precedence over this section where the two differ.

4. Cancelling, and refunds

You may cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for; access continues until then and there is no partial refund of that period.

If SuzyQ does not do what our website says it does, write to us within 30 days of paying and we will refund that payment in full. We would rather hear what went wrong than keep the money.

5. Acceptable use, and the law you call under

SuzyQ automates work inside your own browser. What you use that automation for is your responsibility, and outbound calling is a regulated activity in most places. You are responsible for complying with the law that applies to your calls - including, in the United States, the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, state calling rules, do-not-call registries, and the rules on recording or transcribing a call, which in some states require the other party's consent.

You agree not to use SuzyQ to break the law, to access systems you are not authorized to use, to breach an agreement you have with your employer or a third party, or in a way that would breach the terms of the sites you point it at.

If you use SuzyQ at work, making sure your employer permits it is your responsibility, not ours.

6. Third-party services

Two optional features connect to an outside service using an API key you supply yourself: AI role play (Anthropic) and voicemail in a cloned voice (Fish Audio). Your use of those services is governed by your agreement with that provider, you pay that provider directly, and we are not responsible for them. Neither feature does anything until you enter a key.

SuzyQ runs inside Google Chrome and depends on it. Changes Google makes to Chrome, to its extension platform or to its built-in AI models can affect what SuzyQ can do, and are outside our control.

7. Updates and availability

We release updates from time to time and they are included in your subscription. We may change, add or remove features; where a change removes something you rely on, we will say so rather than let you find out on a call.

Because SuzyQ runs entirely on your own computer there is no service for us to take offline, and no uptime commitment is made or needed.

8. Warranty disclaimer

SuzyQ is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that SuzyQ will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that it will work with every website, CRM or softphone.

SuzyQ replays actions on live systems. Check what a script does before you rely on it, and keep an exported backup of your work.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Backyard Software is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data or lost business opportunity, arising out of your use of SuzyQ.

Our total liability for any claim relating to SuzyQ is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, in which case the above applies to the greatest extent they permit.

10. Termination

You can stop using SuzyQ at any time by cancelling and uninstalling it. We may suspend or end a subscription if these terms are breached, if payment fails, or if the product is being used unlawfully. Where we end a subscription other than for a breach by you, we will refund the unused part of what you have paid.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed, and material changes will be notified to current subscribers by email before they take effect. Continuing to use SuzyQ after that date means you accept the updated terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The courts of Arizona have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
